Acoustic Cafe Featuring Bill Hill

B i o g r a p h y

Like many of my generation, I became interested in guitar when I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 1964. I was surprised one day when my mom came home with an acoustic guitar - a Martin O-18. She had been visiting an old friend whose arthritis had ended his playing days. That marked the beginning of my playing days.

I started learning folk and rock music, learning enough to join a band the next year. Over the years, I played in many different kinds of bands and studied many different styles - classical, bluegrass, country and fingerstyle. Currently, I am focused on jazz and blues which I perform for seniors and community events.
